I recently have made drastic dietary changes due to Candida overgrowth.  The dietary treatment for Candida is basically to maintain a diet restrictive of all ingredients that could possibly feed and otherwise nourish the yeasts which have grown out of control in the gut and blood stream.  The list of restricted foods includes; fruit, dried fruit, canned fruit and fruit juice, veggies with high sugar levels like carrots, peas, turnips and beets, starchy veggies like potatoes, alcohol and caffeine in all forms, grains and gluten in all forms (wheat, rye, oats, barley),  pork and all cured or processed meats, fish (with the exception of wild salmon and sardines), all dairy, all corn products, all soy products, anything with citric acid or vinegar or really anything you can’t pronounce, most nuts that could contain mold, beans, legumes, chickpeas, tofu, mushrooms, all condiments and any oil derived from nuts or corn.

When starting this diet, I found extremely limited resources online and after reading through a ton of content and recipes, I also noticed far too much contradiction on what is ok and not ok to consume.  Figuring out how to make food interesting while eliminating all sugar, flour, gluten, grain, dairy, soy and a plethora of other common ingredients is a challenge that I am taking on to make your Candida diet, or any sugar free, flour free diet, more manageable but also delicious.
